How Noble Works Alongside Your PR Team

If you're evaluating Noble and you have an in-house PR team or a PR agency, you probably have one question: will Noble step on their toes?

We won’t — and below we explain why. 

TL;DR: Noble works in a completely different part of the media landscape than your PR team does. We target smaller, niche sources that AI tools cite, not the big-name outlets your PR team pitches. And during onboarding, you upload a Do Not Contact list that tells Noble exactly who to stay away from. It can be updated any time. Your existing relationships stay yours.

Does Noble reach out to the same publications my PR team works with?

No. 

Traditional PR focuses on Tier-1 publications like the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, TechCrunch. Noble doesn't work with those publishers at all.

Noble only works with sources that AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google actually pull from when generating answers. More than 95% of those sources are smaller, niche publications: listicles, roundups, comparison articles, and industry blogs. Most PR teams have never pitched them and don't have relationships with them. They're relevant not because of their traffic or name recognition, but because AI models read them and cite them in answers.

It’s different sources and contacts. So, there’s almost no overlap with what a traditional PR program is doing.

Does Noble reach out to publishers the same way PR does?

No. 

PR teams pitch stories. Noble secures brand mentions. Those are different asks, going to different people, through different channels.

Most of the publishers Noble works with are open to updating an existing article to include your brand either for a fee or in exchange for a mention elsewhere. That's not how traditional PR operates. 

It's a separate kind of relationship that Noble builds independently, without touching your team's existing contacts or ongoing campaigns.

What if Noble contacts someone my PR team has a relationship with?

We won't — because you tell us exactly who's off-limits.

During onboarding, you set up a Do Not Contact list with anyone you don't want us reaching out to. That typically includes:

  • Publications your PR team has existing relationships with
  • Direct competitors
  • Any outlet or contact you want kept off-limits for any reason

Noble won't contact anyone on that list. Full stop.

If your PR team lands a new relationship mid-engagement, add it and we'll stay clear.

You stay in full control of your existing relationships.

Can I run Noble at the same time as my PR program?

Yes, and many customers do! 

Noble runs in the background, building mentions in the sources AI tools cite, while your PR team focuses on the coverage and relationships they're already managing. The two programs don't interfere because they're operating in completely different parts of the media landscape.
